Talon Squadron - Chapter 4

A red Invid fighter crustation crashed into the earth exploding, Lightning group was still present minus the leader of the group.
The second in command of Lightning group hissed in anger, her short brown hair dirty, her light blue Cyclone armor was dirty and showed signs of some cracks here and there, she ordered the ground forces to keep fireing and to not quit.
The young woman looked through a pair of visers at the 5 remaining energy shield generators they were pillor shaped odd poles.
"Talon Leader this is Lightning 2 come in please" she said keeping her green eyes on the objects infront of her.
"Yes Lightning 2?" Talon Leader replied.
"Five of the energy shield generators are still up my forces cant get a clean lock with out haveing to get a slow target lock can you help us?" Lightning 2 asked.
"Sure Talon Squadron is on the way" Talon 1 replied.
Talon Squadron formed up and dove fireing off their lazers catching a few Invid Shock troopers in the central eye purplish ooze gushed out as fire broke out from the back end as the mech's fell back exploding.
"Talon's form up in groups of 3 as normal and stay with each other" Deric ordered.
The four groups of 3 Talons dodged strey enemy fire and took out any Invid Mech's that noticed them.
"Talon groups select your targets and go" Deric ordered turning his own group towards the nearest energy shield generater.
A Invid Command suite spotted Talon's 7,8 and 9 heading towards a vital target the huminoid pilot inside smirked a human expression and flew his mech towards the 3 fighters, he saw the left flanking fighter transform and begin to fire the mech dodge the rounds it returned fire takeing off the left arm and finaly hitting the Battloid in the chest it exploded in a blaze of metal and fire.
"TALON 9 IS GONE!!! WE'RE UNDER FIRE BY A INVID COMMAND SUI *Hiss*" A burst of static replaced Talon 8's screaming voice.
Talon 7 dodged the fire power from the Invid and fired his missiles striking the target but his victory was short lived a energy disk struck the conopy killing him instantly the rest of the fighter collided into the side of the unprotected dome exploding fire bellowing out.
Talon leader growled and took out his target then he and his group flew towards the others and found the Command suit, he dived fireing at the same time, the Invid Mech reacted and dove up toward him he actualy sped up and transformed his fighter into the Battloid and locked metalic hands or claws with the Mech.
Talon 2 and 3 joined the remaining Talons in takeing out the energy shield generators.
Talon Leader's Battloid shoved the Invid mech away then brought up the gun pod and opened fire, a few rounds punched into the upper chest of the Mech, it returned fire blowing off the battloids arm at the elbow joint, Talon Leader fired missiles again, the Invid Mech flew dodging the missiles those he couldnt dodge he fired at them takeing them out, a few gun pod rounds struck the head of the mech and punctured the dark purple bubble conopy door hitting the huminoid inside in the side, the humoid bled and growled and rushed his mech at the Battloid both collided as it fired hitting it in the chest, both Mech's fell to the ground in a crash of metal.
Talon 2 and 3 seen what happened and rushed to help their commander as the last couple of energy shield generators were taken out, a couple of Invid Shock Troopers appeared and opened fire, takeing out Talon 3, Talon 2 returned fire takeing them out but also getting destroyed himself.
"Enemy energy shield is down commence fireing!" Talon 4 reported.
"Major look out!!" Talon 5 cried alarmed.
Talon 4 turned her head only to see a Sky blue Invid command crustation it brought up its right claw every thing seemed to be going in slow motion she joined her sister shortly when the claw came down crushing her in the conopy sending the fighter colliding into a Invid Shock trooper exploding, Talon 5 took out the Invid mech.
Deric's vision was blured by red he was alive barely all he could see outside his Alpha was the Invid mech that was still on him, with numb fingers he tried inputing in the Self Destruct sequence but red letters appeared on one of his monitors "Self Destruct is offline".
He heard grinding metal and looked at one of the monitors the Invid mech was trying to move, he closed his eyes and pressed the fireing button for the missiles, the explosion took both mechs Deric could rest easily after that.
The Original remaining Talons stayed by the dome fighting the enemy while they ordered Talon 11 to get away the dome hive exploded after a while takeing whome ever was close to it and incinerating the remains of those who fell on the ground.
Talon 11 flew in seperate Talon formation next to her fighter were the remaining 2 fighters of Blue Group, and Green Group, Orange Group and Red Group were totaly gone.
Some where else on Earth the Invid mother watched the conclusion of several large battles in several seperate parts of the world of Invid hives dieing, she smiled a wicked smile, she then turned her attention to a small band of humans one of which was one of her invid spy's among them makeing their way toward her hive while another large Human strike force was beginning to build for the final battle for Earth.
"I'll be waiting humans."
