we had Robotech sometime May til August 2007 in Peru's RETRO TV. I need to find the website. but I know for a fact that Robotech aired at 11pm mon-fri and it was the remastered version. | |

Being a huge fan of Robotech and taking into account the memories... it is not so nice to hear the new voices in spanish. They give a certain weird aura to the series... also the new opening sequence and the commercial announcements aren't the same, which in a sense, take out the mystic. But then again it is great to have it aired on open TV, and hear and reporters and entertainment lead men and women from all media talk about Robotech and how it was the best anime ever. Most of them had lived through he Robotech frenzy when they were young, running back home from school just in time to catch it on TV... | |

I wish my nephews (who know of Robotech through me and my toy collection and from some sporadic incursion on TV and internet) can now feel what I feel everytime I hear the opening song and any of the songs of the sound track... those goosebumps... that sensation of joy and anxiety... that wonderful feeling of going to the toy store and dreaming of getting a SDF-1 replica or a fully functional VF-1 Skull Type Veritech. Or imagining what would feel to operate a Cyclon in real life...
The story... the mechas... (with all the flaws and holes... who cares) the characters... the humanness that made the story believable and almost possible... THAT IS WHAT MAKES ROBOTECH STAND OUT!! So great to have on air!!! Forgot to say I'm also Paraguayan... | |

It's been a while since Robotech returned to the air in Mexico, I think two months at least since they're already on the Invid episodes. The channel is Retro and depending your cable company you can know in advance when will the next episode will be broadcast.
The only think I regret is the lack of the original Spanish voices...  Can anyone tell why do the DVDs and new air show won't use the original Spanish soundtrack? They did an outstanding job the first time, but anyway I'm just happy that new fans will come out of this new airing and thus will ensure a longer life to the Robotech Universe  | |
