Subject: Five things HG needs to do to help Robotech reach new fans and keep the old fans happy..

1. Get Robotech back on TV,here in the States, the Sci-Fi Channel, USA Network, Cartoon Network, one of those channels would be perfect.
2. Make New Robotech Comics!!!! Its been how long since Prelude was ended...
3. Reprint the rest of the Novels and the Prelude to the Shadow Chronicles comics in a TPB, (preferably with some new matrial made by the Waltrips) and hurry up all ready!!!!
4. Make figures of the characters.. enough with the mecha Toynami...
5. And last but not least make more Robotech Video games!!!!!!
Come on Harmony Gold stop bungling it and get going on what I have said here and Robotech might actually get really big again.. rather than just beloved to those that grew up on it... | |

Ive made a thread in the Gaming hall about a possible Robotech RTS that could be produced. i mean its a lot of ideas at the moment. but HG could totally take it and run with it and make a good game out of it.

1) Shadow Rising should be produced in Japan
2) Keep updates on the status of toys and items to buy
3) Put the "fun" back in the site (not sure how to do this, but it can be done)
4) A video game would be cool, maybe even a simple online game. adult swim's site has a few that you can play on the website. That's a great idea. Make it canon, and you have a simple little game that engages online fans to be a part of. | |

I agree with JMcle97000.. with all the success that G.I. joe is having with their 25th anniversary line as well as their other new lines, it would make sense for Harmony Gold to do the same. Look at all the cool figures that have come out and how great they look. Imagine a new version of Lisa, Miryia, Rick, Roy, Minmay, Gloval, Breetai, Khyron, Etc... They could even have special offers on the packages, send in 5 UPCs and get a Special Mail order Admiral Hayes figure or something like that.
Picture a New version of the SDF-1 Playset to go with the new line.
You know I bought a rather large version of Batman that stands like over 2 feet. Imagine having figures of Breetai, Dolza, Exedore, Khyron, Miriya, and Azonia in that Scale.

I completely agree with JMcle97000. Although I'm not sure that if you put Robotech on TV if kids nowadays would even watch. Maybe they would watch Shadow Chronicles though.
I wish they would re-print all of the novels! I would love to get a good compilations of all or some of the Robotech comics. Something like what they do for Ultimate X-men. They release a harcovered book with X number of issues. They are much nicer than having individual comics. They also can be sold in normal bookstores.
I'm completely down for figures.
As for games...usually it cost a lot of money to make good games. Flight sims aren't the greatest selling games. It's a hard market to reach. I love the idea of an RTS though. That would really be awesome. Maybe a role playing game. It could either be like Final Fantasy or an online one like World of Warcraft. Maybe even a combination. You go to the lobby, meet people, maybe gather a squadron. Then when you go to battle it's more of a shooter or could still be an RPG. I don't know what the sort of fanbase for this would be. Personally I think it would be cool. | |
