Robotech 25th Anniversary Tour begins at the City by the Bay!
Celebrate 25 years of Robotech with Carl Macek, Tony Oliver and Tommy Yune at Animation On Display in San Francisco on January 30th - 31st!

The Federation for the Promotion of Animation in association with Harmony Gold are pleased to announce that the 2010 Robotech Convention Tour will kick off at Animation On Display, San Francisco (AODSF) during the final weekend of January! Animation On Display, which will be held at the Hotel Kabuki in the heart of San Francisco's Japantown, has invited Robotech's original producer Carl Macek, Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles director Tommy Yune, and actor Tony Oliver (the voice of Rick Hunter) for a weekend full of screenings, panels, workshops and giveaways!

Carl, Tommy and Tony are excited to welcome all of our fans at the only Bay Area stop of the 2010 Robotech Convention Tour!


EVENT LOCATION:

Animation On Display 2010 will be held at the Hotel Kabuki on January 30th - 31st in the heart of San Francisco's Japantown. Please contact the hotel to inquire about any rooms that may still be available at the discounted convention rate.

CODENAME: ROBOTECH SCREENING
• 1:00 PM @ Main Video Room
Join us as we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Robotech's original broadcast premiere with a special screening of the rarely seen pilot Codename: Robotech with live commentary by producer Carl Macek. If you can't make this screening because of the comic & manga workshop, there will be another screening the next day.


COMIC & MANGA PRODUCTION WORKSHOP
• 1:00 PM @ Live Events 1
Tommy Yune, a veteran of hit comic series such as Speed Racer, Racer X, Robotech, and Danger Girl: Kamikaze, covers modern production techniques of the industry and new options available to hopeful comic creators.


ROBOTECH 25th ANNIVERSARY PANEL
• 3:00 PM @ Main Events Ballroom
Join Carl Macek, Tommy Yune and Tony Oliver as they talk about the first quarter century of Robotech.


CHARITY AUCTION
• 4:00 PM @ Main Events Ballroom
Bid on special Robotech prizes for Charity!



PARTY WITH THE GUESTS
• 5:30 PM @ New People Complex
Mingle with the Robotech crew at a special gathering at the New People Complex, located at 1746 Post Street right across the street from the convention hotel.

If you missed Saturday’s screening of Codename: Robotech with fellow fans, now is your chance to catch the first broadcast episode of the original series, again with live commentary by Carl Macek!


WRITING FOR ANIMATION
• 2:00 PM @ Main Events Ballroom
What does it take to write for animation? Well, Carl Macek, Tommy Yune and Happy Tree Friends Ken Pontac are going to show you.
