Harmony Gold and Toynami are proud to reveal more details on the highly anticipated Masterpiece line! Over a year and a half in development, the 1/55 scale Masterpiece Collection Veritechs will be the most accurate representation of the Veritech fighter ever created in three dimensions. Dozens of improvements have been made since the prototypes were unveiled at San Diego ComicCon, and new features have been added!

Masterpiece Collection Veritechs will feature:
- 1/55 scale (up from the originally planned 1/65 scale)
- Full transformation, requiring no detachable parts
- Rotating landing gear tires made of real rubber
- Opening cockpit with removable pilot
- Optional cockpit heatshield
- Cockpit ladder
- Telescoping gunpod
- Ball-jointed hands with articulated fingers
- Wing-mountable missiles
- Powered eye light with user-replaceable battery and toggle switch
- Tome-style collector's box with gold foil, magnetic door, sliding tray and new artwork
- Certificate of Authenticity, numbered out of 10,000 per volume

Masterpiece Collection Volume One, which contains Rick Hunter's VF-1J, will become available in March at select anime and toy retailers (not February, as reported earlier and in this month's ToyFare). Each successive volume will be released between one to two months at a time afterwards.

Five volumes will be produced for the Masterpiece Collection in all:
- Volume 1: Rick Hunter's VF-1J
- Volume 2: Ben Dixon's brown VF-1A.
- Volume 3: Roy Fokker's VF-1S, also known as Skull Leader
- Volume 4: Max Sterling's blue VF-1J.
- Volume 5: Miriya Sterling's red VF-1J.
